Events & Games
These are the official events of the Hulberg Christmas Olympics. Each game is scored individually, and total points determine the champion.
π Hot Dog in a Hole
Points: 5β10 mins β’ Winner receives 5 Olympic points
Rules: A hot dog is tied to your waist with fishing line. You must lower it into a toilet paper roll as many times as you can in a minute. No hands allowed. No dignity preserved.
π§» Toilet Paper Water Cup Drag
Points: 1st = 5, 2nd = 3, 3rd = 1 Olympic point
Rules: A water-filled cup sits on a long strip of toilet paper. Players must roll the toilet paper toward themselves without tearing it. If it breaks, restart. A brutal test of patience.
πͺ Cookie on the Forehead
Points: 1st = 5, 2nd = 3, 3rd = 1 Olympic point
Rules: Players place a cookie on their forehead. Using only facial muscles, they slide it into their mouth. Fastest times win. Half play while the other half times them.
π¬ Candy Cane Transfer
Points: 1st = 5, 2nd = 3, 3rd = 1 Olympic point
Rules: Using only a candy cane held in the mouth, players hook and transfer as many candy canes as possible into a bucket. Hands are outlawed.
πͺ Santa's Cookie Shotput
Points: 1st = 5, 2nd = 3 Olympic points β’ Sudden death for ties
Rules: Slide a cookie-shaped object across the floor (15β20 ft) into three taped scoring zones. Each zone awards 1β3 game points. Two rounds, and if tied after that, sudden death until a winner emerges.
π§ Fill The Water Cup
Points: Loser loses 2 Olympic points
Rules: Players take turns pouring small amounts of water into a cup. Whoever causes the cup to overflow instantly loses. No winners β only shame.
π The Grinch Steals Kisses
Points: Winner earns 5 Olympic points
Rules: Hundreds of Hersheyβs Kisses are spread out. All players go at once for 30 seconds, using only chopsticks to grab as many as possible and drop them in their cups. Most kisses wins.
π Christmas Card Frisbee Toss
Points: Middle ring = 3, second ring = 2, outer ring = 1 Olympic point
Rules: Each competitor throws two holiday cards like frisbees toward three taped rings on the floor. Points depend on where the card lands.
π© Elf Hat Ring Toss
Points: 2 Olympic points per ring
Rules: An elf hat sits on a water bottle around 10 feet away. Each player gets three frisbees; each successful βringβ around the hat earns points.
βοΈ Snow Shovel Shuffle
Points: 1st = 5, 2nd = 3, 3rd = 1 Olympic point
Rules: Using a spoon held in their mouth, players transfer cotton balls from one bowl to another. Fastest to clear their pile wins.
π’ Marshmallow Catapult
Points: 1st = 5, 2nd = 3, 3rd = 1 Olympic point
Rules: Players use a wooden spoon to catapult marshmallows into three cups placed at 5, 7, and 10 feet. Cup 1 = 1 point, Cup 2 = 2 points, Cup 3 = 3 points. Players launch marshmallows for 1 minute.
π₯€ Flip & Catch Cup Challenge
Points: Top 3 fastest players earn 5, 3, and 1 Olympic points
Rules: Each player starts with 8 cups placed upside down, each with a ball of aluminum foil on top. Players must toss the ball into the air, flip the cup, and catch the ball inside the newly upright cup. First to successfully complete all 8 cups wins. Speed is everything.
π Blow the Cotton Ball
Points: Top 3 fastest players earn 5, 3, and 1 Olympic points
Rules: Each player gets a red Solo cup with a pile of cotton balls on top and a classic party blowout (the kind that unrolls when you blow into it). Players must use only the blowout to knock every cotton ball off the cup as fast as possible. No hands, no touching the cup β just pure lung power and chaos.
π¬ Chimney Drop (Team Challenge)
Points: Winning team earns 2 Olympic points (all players). Losing team earns 0.
Rules: Players split into two teams (one team of 4, one team of 3). Using a string held between two players, teams must lower a candy cane into a bottle without dropping it. There are four bottles total. Only two teammates compete at a time; once they complete their attempt, one of them must be swapped out. No player may sub out the same teammate twice in a row.
Objective: Successfully lower all candy canes into their bottles as fast as possible. Dropped candy canes must be returned to the starting line before retrying. Fastest team to place all candy canes wins.
π―οΈ Blow Out the Candles
Points: Top 3 fastest players earn 5, 3, and 1 Olympic points
Rules: The player stands behind a designated line with a paper plate held in their mouth. Using only the plate to flap and generate wind, the player must blow out all three candles placed on a table in front of them. No hands, no stepping over the line.
Objective: Blow out all three candles in the fastest time possible. Fastest three players place on the leaderboard.
π Touchdown Tree Reach
Points: Top 3 farthest placements earn 5, 3, and 1 Olympic points
Rules: Standing behind the line, the player stretches forward and places a small Christmas tree as far out as possible without stepping or falling over the line. The placement spot is marked with tape.
Attempts: Each player gets 2 attempts. If the first attempt results in a fall or crossing the line, they may retry once.
Disqualification: If the player crosses or touches the line during an attempt, that attempt is invalid.
Objective: Achieve the farthest valid placement. Top 3 distances score points.
π Ribbon Roll
Points: Top 3 fastest times earn 5, 3, and 1 Olympic points
Rules: Each player starts with a fully rolled ribbon. At the signal, they must unroll the ribbon as quickly as possible using only their hands. The timer stops when the ribbon is completely unrolled and placed on the ribbon circle (on the table)
Attempts: Each player gets 1 timed attempt.
Disqualification: If the player drops the ribbon or the ribbon tears during the attempt, the run is invalid.
Objective: Achieve the fastest unrolling time. Top 3 fastest times score points.
π Water Cup Ping Pong Blow
Points: Top 3 fastest times earn 5, 3, and 1 Olympic points
Setup: Five cups are filled with water and lined up in a row. A ping pong ball starts in the first cup.
Rules: Using only air blown from their mouth, the player must move the ping pong ball from Cup 1 β Cup 2 β Cup 3 β Cup 4 β Cup 5. Hands may not touch the ball or cups during the attempt.
Attempts: Each player gets one timed attempt.
Disqualification: Touching the ball or cups with hands, blowing the ball out of the cups, or knocking over a cup invalidates the run.
Objective: Complete the full cup-to-cup sequence in the fastest time. Top 3 times score points.
π₯€ Cup Stack Pull
Points: Top 3 fastest completion times earn 5, 3, and 1 Olympic points
Setup: A stack is built in this order: Solo Cup β Paper Sheet β Solo Cup β Paper Sheet β Solo Cup (3 cups total).
Rules: The player must quickly pull each paper sheet out so the cup above drops cleanly into the cup below. All 3 cups must end up nested perfectly without falling over.
Attempts: Each player gets one official timed attempt. If the player knocks over any cups at any point, the stack must be rebuilt, and the timer will continue
Disqualification: If the player does not fully restack the cups correctly when a fall occurs, or uses hands to stabilize the cups during the pull, the attempt is invalid.
Objective: Successfully nest all 3 cups with clean pulls in the fastest possible time. Top 3 fastest times score points.
